So far I love everything about it except for the name.

Agreed. BMW's top is the 7 series. Audi is the A8. Cadillac is numerically the least with CT6. Unless they're planning something even bigger and crazier. I hope that's the case., but probably not.

I have heard the 6 isn't the Cadillac flagship. I am not sure

They are. De Nysschen has said a few times that the CT6 isn't Cadillac's actual flagship and that a larger car is planned for later in the decade. The CT6 was specifically named to allow numerical room above it for higher end models.

Oh man I hope so. But later in the decade? I want it now :( So that I can afford a used one later in the decade.

Lets not forget the Mercedes S600, for when single digit numbers just aren't enough.

But the S goes as low as 550.

I know, right? There's supposedly going to be a CT8 and a CT9, at least one of which will be a proper full-size flagship sedan in the same range as the S-Class, and the other one might wind up as a GT coupe or something (they've confirmed both the names and that one is going to be a larger sedan than the CT6 and that they'll be on sale by 2020, but that doesn't explain exactly which the other one is going to be).
It's been a very long time since Cadillac has made a big luxury car, the wait is getting seriously annoying.

Actually it goes as low at 65, but that's still more than 8.

I mean yea I guess... but I'm talking about meaningful numbers. Kinda like an F150 vs Chevy or Dodge 1500... They just have an extra zero. The 550 is still a lower level than the 65. But I guess that's only cause we know better. The average Joe might think the S550 is higher up than an S65 AMG based on name alone. Though I hope consumers would have more common sense.

FP comments make me sad. Its like people there intentionally would rather see the fruits of other peoples labors degraded as a throwaway joke and the wonders of human endeavor ignored because a) its a Cadillac and b) its not the car they secretly masturbate over at night.
Car people are great; fanboys are not.

I've been doing my best to fight for it up there on the FP but man there are some trolls
